"Speed" prescribed freely in the USA
Adderall, the pharmaceutical version of amphetamine or “speed”, is widely prescribed in the US to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The drug helps sufferers sustain attention and maintain self-control. It is being prescribed more and more especially to adults and some believe a large amount of it is being used by people without ADHD to help them focus or as a recreational stimulant.
